1) Overview
Zixo (“we,” “us”) provides an AI video effects app (“Service”). We minimize personal data, do not require an account, and only process media to deliver features you request.
2) Data We Collect
- Media you choose to process: Videos/images you import or capture. Used only to generate effects and previews.
- Usage & device data: App version, device model, OS, language, country/region, screens viewed, taps, crash logs. Collected via Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics.
- Purchase data: Product IDs, receipts, subscription status, credit balances, obtained via RevenueCat and the App Store.
- Support: The content of emails you send to support@zixo.app.
We do not collect your name, email, or contacts from the device, and we do not require sign‑in.
3) How We Use Data
- Provide core features (apply effects, previews, export).
- Maintain credits/subscriptions and restore purchases.
- Improve performance, quality, and safety; detect abuse.
- Customer support and legal compliance.
4) Processing & Storage of Media
- Media may be processed on-device and/or via secure servers or third‑party AI model providers solely to fulfill your request.
- We keep media only as long as necessary to process and deliver results, then delete it from our servers. You control local copies saved to Photos.
5) Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share only with:
- Service providers (processors): Firebase (analytics/crash), RevenueCat (purchases/entitlements), cloud storage/CDN and AI model providers, all under contracts to act on our instructions.
- Legal: To comply with law, protect rights, or in a merger/acquisition.
6) International Transfers
Data may be processed in countries outside yours (e.g., the United States). We use reasonable contractual and technical safeguards for cross‑border transfers.
7) Retention
- Usage/analytics: retained per provider defaults and our operational needs.
- Purchase records: kept as required for accounting and fraud prevention.
- Media on servers: temporary for processing, then deleted.
8) Face Data Supplement
- Collection (see Sections 2 & 8): We only receive face data if you intentionally upload media that contains your face. If you never submit such media, we collect zero face data. Any default templates or sample clips in the app were generated from publicly available sources and do not include private biometric information.
- Use (see Section 3): Uploaded face data is used solely to render the visual effect, preview, or export that you requested. We do not train models, build profiles, or reuse face data for unrelated purposes.
- Sharing & storage (see Section 5): We do not expose or sell face data. When cloud rendering is required, the media and any derived facial feature data are encrypted in transit and at rest on audited infrastructure partners we control in the United States or European Union.
- Retention (see Section 7): Face data stored on our servers during processing is treated as a temporary file, typically lasting only a few minutes and never more than 48 hours (to allow a failed render to retry). After that window the media and derived face data are deleted. Aggregated quality metrics we keep do not include any information that can identify a person’s face.
- Where this lives: These face-data disclosures are contained in this Section 8 (Face Data Supplement) alongside the general rules in Sections 2 (Data We Collect), 3 (How We Use Data), 5 (Sharing), and 7 (Retention).
9) Your Choices & Rights
- Opt out of analytics: use system limits (e.g., “Allow Apps to Request to Track”) and in‑app analytics toggles if available.
- Access, deletion, or questions: email support@zixo.app.
- EEA/UK/California residents: you may have additional rights (access, delete, portability, restrict/opt‑out). We honor applicable law.
10) Children
Not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). Do not use if under the applicable age.
11) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures; no method is 100% secure.
12) Third‑Party Links
Exports or shares to third‑party platforms are governed by those platforms’ policies.
13) Changes
We’ll update this policy when needed. Material changes will be noted in‑app or on our site. Continued use means acceptance.
